A new portrait of Queen Mary has been revealed in honour of her 53rd birthday.
The Australian-born Danish royals' portrait was taken by Steen Evald at Amalienborg palace in Copenhagen.
In the portrait, Queen Mary is dressed in neutral tones — a white long sleeve turtleneck with a pink floral lace skirt.
The Tasmanian-born styled her hair down and accessorised with subtle jewellery including two gold Cartier “love bracelets” and drop earrings.
Her diamond and ruby engagement ring was also visible in the image.
It comes as Genoveva Casanova, the high-profile Mexican socialite who allegedly had an affair with King Frederik, shared a new selfie on the same day as Queen Mary’s birthday.
Casanova, sporting sunnies and looking rugged up against the cold, smiles in front of a field of snow in the background.
The caption on her Instagram post reads in Spanish “How beautiful is the snow”, complete with skiing and love heart emojis.
