Princess Catherine attends the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall

Princess Catherine has dazzled in her first major appearance in months as another senior royal is forced to cancel a key engagement for health reasons.

Prince William has had the most “brutal” year of his life

Princess Catherine has dazzled onlookers in her first high-profile appearance in months since undergoing cancer treatment.

The Princess of Wales beamed as she arrived with husband Prince William at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the Festival of Remembrance ceremony.

Dressed in a sleek black dress, with her long locks in her signature bouncy style, the radiant royal was her usual elegant self.

The royal will also attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph on Sunday, London time.

Queen Camilla, however, will not be there as she still recovering from a chest infection.

A statement said the Queen, 77, was “following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk”.

Remembrance Day holds a special place for not just Princess Catherine but the entire royal family who take great care in honouring the sacrifices made by servicemen and women.

Catherine’s appearance is delightful for news for fans of the beloved royal who have been hanging out for another glimpse of the future queen.

Princess Catherine made two intimate appearances last month – she met with a young cancer patient and also with the families and emergency services impacted by the horror stabbing of three little girls at a dance class in Southport.

Her upcoming presence at Remembrance Day will be an opportunity for crowds to catch a glimpse of their favourite princess as they did at Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon in July.

It also comes after her husband Prince William made emotional comments about Princess Catherine during his visit to South Africa.

William said the past year has been “the hardest year of my life” due to his wife’s cancer battle and also that of his father King Charles.

“Honestly, it’s been dreadful,” he said.

“So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.

“But I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal.”

Princess Catherine revealed in September that she had finally completed her course of chemotherapy.

The royals made the welcome announcement via an almost cinematic video of the whole rambling in the woods.
