Prince William was ‘upset, angry’ over Kate situation

The Prince of Wales was privately raging as the global furore around his wife grew earlier this year, it’s been revealed.

Prince William was reportedly left furious as a global frenzy of conspiracy theories and rumours swirled online about Kate, the Princess of Wales, earlier this year.

An ex-staffer told People magazine that the Prince of Wales was “upset and angry” over the gossip, which emerged following her abdominal surgery and subsequent retreat from public duties in January.

“William is strong-minded, stubborn sometimes. That, and his emphasis on family life, will give him the backbone and strength to get through this,” royal author Valentine Low told the publication.

In March, Kate herself was compelled to release an emotional, two-minute video revealing that she was undergoing treatment for cancer as the speculation about her health hit fever pitch.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” she explained.

“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I’m now in the early stages of that treatment.”

Kate added that the news had come as a “huge shock”.

“William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be okay.

“As I’ve said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal in my mind, body, and spirits.”

Rumours about her welfare were sparked after William abruptly cancelled a scheduled appearance at a memorial service for his godfather in late February, with the Palace’s release of a doctored picture of Kate and her three kids just days later adding fuel to the fire.

The latest development regarding William’s private reaction to the Kate drama comes just days after he provided a rare update on her welfare while visiting a hospital on the Isles of Scilly, just off the coast of Cornwall.

He was asked about his wife, to which he assured that she was “doing well” as she continues to undergo treatment.
