Royal Family: Prince William gives health update on Princess Catherine

Prince William has given an update on Princess Catherine’s health as experts speculated on why the future king’s increased public workload is a good sign for the Royal Family.

It’s a little bit sad’: Why King Charles refuses to meet with Prince Harry

Prince William has revealed Princess Catherine is “doing well” following her cancer diagnosis.

The Prince of Wales commented on his wife’s health during a visit to St Mary’s Community Hospital on the Isles of Scilly, a day after meeting locals in the nearby English beachside town of Cornwall.

He was told about a new facility for health and social care being built on Duchy of Cornwall’s land near the hospital.

Prince William told staff his children were “very jealous” of his trip, and said he would bring them to Cornwall later in the year.

The future king was given a letter by matron Lynda McHale, written by her granddaughter,

that wished Princess Catherine and King Charles well in their respective cancer recoveries.

The Princess of Wales announced the “huge shock” of her cancer diagnosis back in March.

Prince William has been cutting back his public engagements to help support his wife and their three young children.

However, Kensington Palace recently announced the 41-year-old would be resuming his public appearances.

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, this suggests Princess Catherine’s recovery is going well.

“There are some telltale signs that she is getting better as Prince William is undertaking more jobs, including going to the Scilly Isles where he will be away for a day or two,” he told The Sun.

“I don’t think he would be out and about more, unless he was happy she was on the mend.”

WILLIAM BACK TO WORK AFTER HARRY SNUB

When the Duke of Sussex was in London to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games tournament he set up, his brother Prince William was, conveniently, nowhere to be seen.

The anger the Prince of Wales still harbours for his younger brother, who has revealed the secrets of the royal family in a tell-all scathing memoir, has evidently not dissipated.

But on Thursday, as Prince Harry was preparing to leave the UK for Nigeria, Prince William showed up in the new suburb of Nansledan in Cornwall, on the Southern Western tip of England, to check how his project building homes for rough sleepers on Duchy of Cornwall land is progressing.

The environmentally friendly prince plans to erect 24 homes on the plot of 130,000 acres, each comprising four bedroom and single bedroom units as part of his mission to reduce homelessness.

The heir apparent was also expected to visit nearby Fistral beach in Newquay to meet with surfers, lifeguards and staff from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to understand the work they do to keep local people and tourists safe in the summer season.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “It’s not surprising William now shows, there is a lot of work that needs to be done between the brothers before they can resume any form of a relationship.

“It will take a lot for William to forgive Harry, he’s inflicted untold damage on the royal family, nothing has changed, issues still need to be resolved between the princes and indeed between the King and Prince Harry.”

Prince William was introduced to Max, a local who has experienced homelessness himself.

Max told the prince “there’s always hope” as he shared his plans to join the Royal Navy.

The heir to the throne said giving hope to those who need it is “genuinely what we want to do”.

“Give people like you hope has got to be real and it’s got to be effective,” he said.

The prince also visited nearby Fistral beach in Newquay to meet with surfers, lifeguards and staff from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to understand the work they do to keep local people and tourists safe in during England’s summer season.

It comes as King Charles embarked on his first military engagement since announcing a comeback to public duty.

Arriving at Gibraltar Barracks, he said: “Thank you so much, I do apologise by taking you by surprise, this opportunity appeared and allowed me out of my cage and wanted to come and have a look.”

Lt Col Robert Grant said afterwards: “We only had, if you take into account the Bank Holiday, only seven or eight days to pull it all together but when you get that call is it possible to put a visit for His Majesty there is only one answer.”

Prince Harry revealed he would not be meeting King Charles on his fleeting trip home as the Monarch had a “full program”.

“It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesman for the Duke of Sussex said.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Insiders claimed the duke made multiple attempts to arrange a visit with his father before flying from the US to the UK for the three day trip.

As Prince Harry celebrated the Invictus Games, King Charles was hosting a Buckingham Palace garden party, just five kilometres away.
