Meghan slammed over ‘bewildering’ Paris post
One seemingly simple late-night post from Meghan Markle has provoked a furious reaction, one royal expert calling it “insensitive beyond belief.”
There’s not so much love for Meghan Markle in the city of love.
The Duchess of Sussex is facing backlash for sharing an Instagram Story video riding in a limo with her feet up near the Parisian tunnel where her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, tragically died in 1997.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams blasted the “utterly bewildering” and “beyond stupid” social media upload on Saturday, calling the post “insensitive beyond belief.”
He told the Daily Mail, “I don’t understand what on earth she was thinking — well, she can’t have been thinking. No adviser would ever advise doing something so strange.”
Several social media users also took aim at the “With Love, Meghan” star, 41, for documenting her drive past the Pont Alexandre III and the Pont des Invalides bridges.

The next bridge along the Seine, notably, is the Pont d’Alma, next to the Pont d’Alma tunnel, which is where the late Princess of Wales’ accident took place.
One X user labelled Markle an “American Psycho.”
“If driving towards Princess Diana’s death scene is a message to Prince William then Meghan Markle is the devil,” another hater tweeted over the weekend.
A third claimed that Markle “sure proved her psychosis” by sharing the clip, insisting the move was “a new level of EVIL.”

While a fourth referred to Markle as a “demon,” some social media users came to the “Suits” star’s defence.
“I usually put my feet up as well?” one noted. “I don’t believe this was done w/ malicious intent? I believe this was a human moment 4 a [woman] in heels ? Just saying.”
A rep for Markle did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Markle is currently in Paris attending Paris Fashion Week, with the former actress making headlines Saturday for her Balenciaga show appearance.
She sported a white, long-sleeved tunic with a flowing cape and matching slacks for the outing, pairing the ensemble with black heels, a matching purse and diamond stud earrings.
Although she was slammed for attending the show after the brand was “cancelled,” Markle’s rep told us she was there to support pal Pierpaolo Piccioli, who became Creative Director for the House in July.
