King Charles has offered an “olive branch” to his disgraced brother Prince Andrew, after reportedly trying to kick him out of his palace.

King Charles has offered an “olive branch” to his disgraced brother Prince Andrew, after a bitter dispute over the prince’s royal home.

Charles invited Andrew to join him and Camilla at Balmoral Castle in northern Scotland for a family getaway, according to The Sun.

The brothers’ supposed reunion comes amid a tense few years after Andrew found himself embroiled in serious allegations of sexual violence against minors, which he has always denied.

A new show, A Very Royal Scandal, is set to examine the circumstances surrounding Andrew’s infamous Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis, in which he sensationally claimed he was unable to sweat while answering questions about his links to late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The show is a continuation of the hit BBC and Prime Video dramas A Very English Scandal, which looked at the demise of UK Liberal leader Jeremy Thorpe, and A Very British Scandal, which chronicled the shaming of the Duchess of Argyll, Margaret Campbell.

In June, it was reported Andrew had refused to leave the Royal Lodge, which he rents for £250 (A$498) a week, fearing he “might never get back in”.

Andrew moved into the lavish royal estate in 2003, when he reportedly signed a 75-year lease after the death of its previous occupant, the Queen Mother.

Since then, he has reportedly spent around £7.5 million (A$15 million) renovating the property and currently lives there with his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York, despite the couple divorcing in 1996.

But rumours have circulated Andrew may be ousted from the royal property as Charles plans to “scale back” the monarchy.

Charles’s peace offering was also reportedly extended to Andrew’s ex-wife Fergie, who tagged along on the trip.

Andrew, 63, drove himself to the 50,000-acre estate while Sarah flew into the nearby Aberdeen Airport.

It’s believed the couple will also be joined by their daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, and plan to stay the week.

In early September, the family will meet at Balmoral Castle once again to honour the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

The late Queen died at Balmoral on September 8, 2022. It is understood royals including Charles, Will and Kate, and Andrew and Fergie will return to the castle to commemorate her death.
