Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has been dubbed a “dictator in high heels” who belittles people, changes her mind constantly, and never takes advice in a brutal new US report.
The savage assessment, published in the Hollywood Reporter, comes amid speculation about the Sussexes’ high turnover of staff - especially following consultant Josh Kettler’s resignation as the couple’s chief of staff after just three months in the high-profile role.
“Everyone’s terrified of Meghan,” an unnamed source told the magazine.
“She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice... they’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently.”
The article claims staff call her “Duchess Difficult”, saying the 43-year-old mother of two fires off angry emails at all hours and is known to throw “noisy tantrums”.
“She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders,” said a second unnamed source, who also claimed the former actor is “absolutely relentless”.
“I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
The article comes ahead of Prince Harry’s 40th birthday on September 15, and while the sources said he was a “very charming person” with “no airs at all”, they accused him of being an “enabler” who does nothing to protect staff from his wife’s behaviour.
“She’s just terrible,” the magazine was told.
Harry is set to celebrate the milestone with his family at home, blowing out his candles at their mansion in the exclusive southern Californian neighbourhood of Montecito.
After that, he’ll gather with some friends before heading to New York for meetings.
It’s not the first time question have been raised about the Duchess’s treatment of staff.
A former secretary wrote in a leaked email that she “seems intent on always having someone in her sights” back in 2018, while Buckingham Palace investigated claims she bullied two female royal aides “out of the palace” in 2021.
However, the Suits star said the allegations were part of a calculated smear campaign.
The Sussexes have made no comment about the claims.
