Justin Bieber takes swipe at mum Pattie after she prayed for his ‘healing’ in cryptic message
Pop star Justin Bieber has stunned fans with a sharp response to his mum’s emotional Instagram post in which she prayed for his “healing”.
He’s not here for her prayers.
Justin Bieber took a swipe at his mum weeks after she prayed for his “healing” in a social media post.
On September 24, Pattie Mallette wrote via Instagram that “we’re cheering you on and praying for you always Justin.”
“I declare freedom, strength, clarity, and healing over you Justin,” she continued her touching post, which featured photos of the singer rocking a tee that read “Pray for me.”
“Every chain of fear, confusion, heaviness, and pain — be broken in Jesus’ name.”
However, it seemed like the Canadian singer didn’t appreciate his mum’s prayers when he left a rather impertinent comment on the post on Tuesday.
“Only thing I need healing from is my rolled pinky toe from playing ping pong,” the 31-year-old, who is very vocal about his faith, snapped as many of his fans laughed at the comment.
At the time of Mallette’s post, Bieber had just announced his return to the Coachella stage with a black-and-white video shoot on the grounds of the festival.
He captioned the post, “see u in april.”
He had, however, also shared several other posts where he asked ChatGPT to tell him “the truth about how human effort is hurting humanity.”
The Daisies singer then captioned his conversations, “Jesus teaches that our effort is simply a response. To being gifted life and forgiveness. Jesus becomes the prize. And growth becomes something you desire because of the grace we have received.”
In the last year, Bieber has sparked fan concern due to his odd public behaviour, including riding on a Segway in his underwear and openly using cannabis.
He also sparked marital rumours with his wife, Hailey Bieber, before going on to confirm them in his album Swag.
After the businesswoman told critics to “move on” and “chill out” on the rumours during her Vogue interview in May, the two have since been putting on a united front on social media.
The couple initially dated in 2015 before breaking up a month later. The two, however, reconnected in 2018, going on to get engaged in July of that year.
They tied the knot in a New York City courthouse in September 2018 and renewed their vows six years later.
At the time of their renewals, the couple also announced they were expecting their first child together, Jack Blues, whom they welcomed in August 2024.
