Iconic 90s child star Haley Joel Osment charged with cocaine possession

The Oscar nominated star of The Sixth Sense has been charged following his arrest earlier this month for intoxicated behaviour.

Emily Osment found it 'terrifying' to work all the way through the COVID-19 pandemic

Haley Joel Osment called a police officer an antisemitic slur and a “Nazi” when he was arrested for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance at a California ski resort earlier this month, as seen in bodycam footage obtained by The Post on Thursday.

The “Sixth Sense” star, 37, appeared belligerent and unable to keep his pants up as he struggled with police at Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., on Apr. 8.

Osment’s ski pants were strangely unbuttoned, causing them to slide down his waistline as he was being handcuffed and placed under arrest.

At one point, he shouted, “I’ve been kidnapped by a f–king Nazi.”

He also claimed he was “being attacked” and accused officers of “torturing me.”

Cops repeatedly told the Oscar-nominated actor to co-operate, instructing him to “use your legs and stand up.”

Osment refused to give officers his name at first — stumbling around the question as they demanded to know his identity.

During the video, Osment said multiple times, “I’m an American,” to which one officer replied, “Well, you’re under arrest now.”

In the bodycam footage, police noted finding what they believed to be cocaine residue on money discovered with his room key in his ski helmet.

“I think there’s cocaine in that,” one officer stated.

While in the back of the cop car and on the way to jail, Osment was heard telling police, “You’re f–kin’ with my life.”

He was also caught on camera saying to officers, “You’ll wish you treated me nicer,” before hurling another slur at one of them.

“I was decent to you and you, and you are a f–king k–e,” Osment stated.

As he was being brought into the jail, the actor told cops, “Good luck.”

In response to the bodycam footage, Osment told The Post: “I’m absolutely horrified by my behaviour. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner.”

Osment took a years-long break after starring in “Home of the Giants,” which filmed in 2005 but aired in 2007. He returned to the big screen with a role in the 2012 film “The Misadventures of the Dunderheads.”

In the years since, he has steadily worked on various movies, TV shows and video games.

The actor lived in New York City for 15 years before making his way back to Los Angeles, where the paparazzi culture had “mellowed out a bit.”

“We’re in a different era than we were,” he told E! News.

Osment gained fame after starring in “Forrest Gump.” He continued his career into adulthood and is most known for “The Sixth Sense,” “Pay it Forward,” “Secondhand Lions” and “A.I. Artificial Intelligence.”

“When I came up in this industry, the internet was around, but it wasn’t so omnipresent that it is today,” Osment explained. “So for younger actors today, I’m always really impressed with them being able to manage the TikTok-Instagram-social media landscape, because that’s not something I ever really had to deal with at that age.”
