Selena Gomez has hit back at a bizarre internet rumour linking her to the late John F. Kennedy’s grandson.

Selena Gomez has hit back at a bizarre internet rumour that she had a fling with the grandson of late US president John F. Kennedy.

The singer and actress wasted no time shutting down a fan account’s post claiming she briefly dated John Kennedy Schlossberg four years ago.

“@SelenaGomez and John Kennedy Schlossberg had an affair from 2020 to 2021. The grandson of the U.S. President John Kennedy promised her the White House and she fell for it,” the post read.

In a blunt reply, Gomez wrote, “Never met this human sorry.”

According to throwback screenshots shared by a fan on Twitter, Schlossberg praised Gomez for her “When We All Vote” merchandise on Instagram back in 2020, and it appears that comment kicked of the long-running rumour.

The Instagram account – which is dedicated to Gomez – has since responded to Gomez’s comment, saying, “These rumours are CRAZY. well either way love you gurl.”

Schlossberg, 31, is the son of designer and author Edwin Schlossberg and Caroline Kennedy – the only daughter of JFK and the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

The former couple were married from 1953 up until his assassination in 1963 before Jacqueline married Greek magnate Aristotle Onassis in 1968. They would divorce seven years later.

The former First Lady never remarried before her death from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1994.

Caroline was just five years old when her father was assassinated.

As for Gomez, she is now dating music producer Benny Blanco. The pair are stronger than ever even if the actress is currently away from LA filming Season 4 of her hit comedy Only Murders in the Building.

“They are so in love,” a source told People magazine. “It’s a very serious relationship, and they’re making long distance work while she’s in New York for work commitments.”

“Benny makes her feel special and they try to see each other as much as possible,” the source added. “She really does feel like it’s the best she’s ever been treated by a guy, and she’s had a certain glow since they started dating.”

Gomez has previously dated the likes of Nick Jonas, Orlando Bloom, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber.
