Rami Malek and Emma Corrin are going strong.
The “Mr. Robot” star, 43, made rare comments about his partner — who uses they/them pronouns — in a new interview with the Guardian.
“That person [is] fascinating,” Malek said about The Crown actor, 29, reports the New York Post.
According to the Guardian, Malek also called Corrin “Em” and “my partner” during the interview.
When the reporter described Corrin as smart and quirky, Malek smiled and added, “We like quirky.”
Corrin has never publicly talked about her romance with Malek.
The actors confirmed their relationship in September 2023 when they were photographed kissing in London.
Two weeks later, the couple held hands leaving a Paris fashion week after-party.
Malek was similarly private about his relationship with actor Lucy Boynton, 31, whom he dated from 2018 to 2022.
The pair never publicly confirmed their break-up. They met on the set of the 2018 Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, which won Malek an Oscar.
Corrin, meanwhile, wasn’t in any known public relationships prior to dating Malek.
The Deadpool & Wolverine star came out as queer and nonbinary in 2021, which sparked backlash that they opened up about in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar last year.
“The vitriol is worse than I anticipated,” said Corrin. “Even though we like to think we’re in a progressive society, a lot of what we’re seeing is increasingly a step back.”
Corrin continued, “People follow me because they’ve watched something I’m in. They think I’m one kind of person, and then they’ll see who I actually am and how I present. I will never understand why. Who are you hurting by being yourself? Why am I controversial? I think it’s fear. Absolute fear.”
The My Policeman star previously talked about their gender identity in an interview with ITV’s Granada Reports in 2021.
“My journey’s been a long one and has still got a (long) way to go,” the actor said. “I think that, you know, we’re so used to defining ourselves — and that’s the way, sadly, society works — is within these binaries and it’s taken me a long time to realise that I exist somewhere in between, and I’m still not sure where that is yet.”
