Aussie actress Naomi Watts has confirmed her secret marriage to actor Billy Crudup.

The King Kong star took to Instagram to reveal her joy, posting an image of the pair embracing on the steps of what appears to be a Manhattan courthouse.

The effortlessly elegant Watts wore a white Oscar de la Renta Sweetheart Water Lilly Guipure dress while holding a bouquet of white flowers.

In a sweet touch, Watts revealed on her Instagram stories that she had sourced the flowers from a nearby New York City deli.

Watts simply captioned the photo: “Hitched!”

The one-word caption also featured love heart and dove emojis.

A day before the image was posted, Watts and Crudup, both aged 54, were spotted returning to their New York City apartment in wedding attire.

Stars including Miranda Kerr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Coolidge, took to Instagram to congratulate the happy couple on their nuptials.

Paltrow said: “Yipeeeeeee!!!! Sending so much love!!”

Supermodel Helena Christensen posted: “Ahhhh this is so wonderful!! Congratulations to you two lovebirds.”

Justin Theroux, who co-starred with Watts in her Hollywood breakthrough film Mulholland Drive, wrote: “CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!!!”

Watts, who was born in the UK and grew up in Sydney, confirmed in 2017 that she and Crudup, who starred in The Morning Show, were dating after filming the Netflix drama Gypsy.

They made their red carpet debut at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February 2022.

Watts was previously in a relationship with actor Liev Schrieber for 11 years.

The pair split in 2016 and share two children — Sasha, 15, and Kai, 14.

Almost Famous star Crudup, a four-time Tony nominee, has a 19-year-old son William with ex Mary-Louise Parker.

He caused a Hollywood scandal in 2003 when he left a heavily pregnant Parker for actress Claire Danes.
