Ellen DeGeneres has been seen for the first time in her new stomping grounds in the UK.
Earlier this week, it was revealed the former talk show host and her wife, Aussie actress Portia de Rossi, had left their plush home in Montecito, California to settle down in Cotswolds in the UK, which is approximately two hours away from London.
Now video has emerged of the star couple visiting a nearby pub called The Farmer’s Dog, which is owned by British broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson.
In the clip, the pair enjoyed some tunes courtesy of Irish band The Corrs while gathered around a table with Clarkson’s wife Lisa Hogan and Aussie singer Natalie Imbruglia, who was dancing to the music.
British singer James Blunt was also there, displaying some PDA with his wife, Sofia Wellesley.
“@natalie_imbruglia @thetallirish @jamesblunt what a great night in the pub with @thecorrsofficial,” read the caption of the video, which was posted on the pub’s official Instagram page.
“The way a good pub night should be. acoustic set, a few drinks, great friends @jeremyclarkson1 thanks for organising it!”
The clip also showed DeGeneres sporting a darker hair colour. Gone was her trademark bleached blonde locks, instead the comedian rocked a brunette pixie cut.
Both she and de Rossi wore matching black turtlenecks as they sipped on water.
It’s believed that the Hollywood couple fled the UK ahead of Donald Trump’s return to The White House in January following his US presidential win earlier this month.
According to The Wrap, they pair relocated to England in recent weeks, reportedly telling friends the move across the pond was primarily due to the election result.
Another source tells TMZ that the pair actually bought their new UK residence before the November 5 election, but were “very disillusioned” with Mr Trump’s win they immediately decided “to get the hell out” of the US.
It’s believed the couple have no plans to move back to the US and are in the process of putting their Montecito, California estate on the market.
While DeGeneres has made new friends in the move and is settling in nicely, it appears British journalist Piers Morgan is not thrilled about the new UK residents.
“OMG … no!” he mockingly tweeted alongside a news article of the couple’s relocation, to which another X user responded, “My deepest sympathies to Britain Piers. But if it’s any consolation, remember that we’re still stuck with Harry & Meghan, so comparatively speaking, we got a much worse deal.”
