Fans have expressed concern for Martin Lawrence after concerning video emerged of the US actor clinging to co-star Will Smith at an event.

The duo, who have teamed up for a fourth Bad Boys movie Ride or Die, attended the Los Angeles premiere May 30 as part of their global promo tour for the highly-anticipated movie.

In footage from the event, 59-year-old Lawrence could be seen tightly holding onto Smith’s hand as they welcomed a large crowd at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

A spectator took to TikTok with a video of the moment, captioning the video with, ‘There is something going on with Martin’.

The clip prompted thousands of fans to issue their concerns for Lawrence, with one saying, “I hope and pray he’s not sick.”

Another chimed in, “Prayers to the funniest man I’ve ever seen on tv.”

“I hope he heals from whatever he’s going through,” a third wrote.

“He looks like he may have trouble seeing,” another speculated.

It comes after a recent interview Lawrence conducted with Smith raised eyebrows, with fans noticing the actor slurring his words during the sit-down with ExtraTV.

“Martin seems a little slow and off! Like he’s had some kind of medical issue,” one fan wrote on a YouTube video of the interview.

Another added, “There’s some Martin still in there. Thanks lord he’s still in acting. Let’s hope after this that he’ll continue working.”

Back in 1999, Lawrence suffered a near-fatal heatstroke when he collapsed during exercise.

Afterwards, the actor and comedian entered into a three-day coma, where he was in a critical condition in hospital before managing to make a full recovery.

More recently, he triggered health concerns during his speech at the Emmys in January, where he reunited with his former Martin co-stars to present an award.

During his presentation, Lawrence appeared to have a difficult time reading the teleprompter as he repeatedly paused and slurred his words.

However, his team poured cold water on health fears, blaming tech issues.

Meanwhile, the Bad Boys sequel – which comes four years after the previous film Bad Boys for Life – is set to hit cinemas June 6.
