Actor and David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach dead by suicide at 62: report

Actress Pamela Bach, who was married to David Hasselhoff for 17 years and shares two daughters with him, has been found dead in her LA home.

David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach Hasselhoff has reportedly died by suicide. She was 62.

Pamela’s family members recently became concerned after not hearing from her and wanted to check on how she was doing, law enforcement sources told TMZ on Thursday.

First responders were then called to her house after receiving a report of an unconscious female Wednesday shortly after 10pm, according to the outlet.

Pamela was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene of her US$2 million (A$3.1m) Hollywood Hills home, Page Six reports.

Authorities did not find a suicide note, per the report.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time,” David said in a statement to TMZ.

The Baywatch star, 72, and the actress, who also appeared in the iconic lifeguard series, were married from 1989 to 2006.

They had a contentious divorce, with discussions about spousal support continuing into 2017.

Pamela portrayed cafe owner Kaye Morgan in Baywatch from 1991 to 2000.

She also appeared in movies such as Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish in 1983.

Pamela met David while appearing in a 1985 episode of Knight Rider. She also acted in TV shows including Sirens, The Young and the Restless, The Fall Guy and T.J. Hooker.

She is survived by her two daughters, Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32, whom she shared with David.

Prior to Pamela, David was married to actress and singer Catherine Hickland from 1984 to 1989.

After hashing out his spousal support agreement with Pamela, David wed Welsh model Hayley Roberts in 2018.
