LENA Dunham has some advice for the magazine that recently paired her image with the cover line, “20 slimdown diet tips stars are using.”
The actress and writer, 30, erupted on Instagram, penning a sarcastic list of her own “20 slimdown diet tips,” which included:
“anxiety disorder”
“resultant constant nausea”
“an election that reveals the true depths of American misogyny”
“constant sweaty dreams of dystopian future”
“abdominal adhesions pinning ovary below uterus”
“watching institutions you love from Planned Parenthood to PBS be threatened by cartoon mustache-twirling villains”
“bladder spasms, urinary frequency, and urgency.”
She wrote, “I have no tips I give no tips I don’t want to be on this cover cuz it’s diametrically opposed to everything I’ve fought my whole career for and it’s not a compliment to me because it’s not an achievement thanx.”
Along with mentioning that she sleeps 19 hours per day, she also indicated her pre-existing conditions with asterisks, referring to her anxiety disorder and endometriosis, which landed her in the hospital after the Met Gala.
Dunham also wrote that “marching your ass off” contributes to weight loss. She told Howard Stern in February that “Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food.”
