KATE Ritchie has shown off her newborn daughter in a paid magazine feature.
The Nova radio drive co-host and former Home and Away actor is believed to have received up to $100,000 for the first look at daughter, Mae.
“I know I’m biased, but I’m really proud,” Ritchie told Who magazine, in stores tomorrow.
“She’s just so beautiful.”
While Who has long maintained that it does not pay for stories, it is understood the magazine pays large sums of cash for exclusive photo shoots — provided the interview is thrown in for free.
Ritchie, 36, and former NRL player husband, Stuart Webb, 34, welcomed a baby daughter on August 17.
“There were a few tears. I think I sobbed for a week, in a good way! Stuart kept saying, ‘What’s wrong?’ I just kept saying, ‘I’m so happy.’ I was overwhelmed by how emotional and amazing it was.”
When the couple announced their daughter’s name on Facebook last month, after her birth on August 17, Ritchie wrote: “What a beautiful week it has been with our daughter, Mae. Thank you to everyone who has wished the three (!) of us well. KR x”
Before announcing their daughters name, Ritchie had posted a list of suggestions on Instagram. The names listed for a girl were Molly, Lilly, Matilda, Madeline and Georgina, while for a boy, she was fond of Hugo, Harry, Joshua, Lucas and William.
