'Hillary's betrayers ranked in spreadsheet', according to book HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton

HILLARY Clinton doesn't just have a list of enemies and supporters - she has a spreadsheet.

Hillary's hit list

HILLARY Clinton doesn't just have a list of enemies and supporters - she has a spreadsheet.

The details come from a new book from Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, two of Clinton's closest advisers during her 2008 campaign for the Democratic nomination, entitled HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton.

Compiling the spreadsheet was one of Allen and Parnes's final jobs in 2008 as Clinton conceded defeat to the man who would be president, Barack Obama.

The spreadsheet not only contained those who did and didn't endorse Clinton in 2008 but any favours they had done and a betrayal rating from 1-7.

US Senator Claire McCaskill rates a 7.

"Hate is too weak a word to describe the feelings that Hillary’s core loyalists still have for McCaskill," Allen and Parnes write.

That is probably due to two factors. Firstly, both Bill and Hillary Clinton went all out for her in her 2006 Senate race but she ended up supporting Obama. Secondly, she said of Bill Clinton on Meet the Press in 2006, "He's been a great leader but I don't want my daughter near him."

Despite a tearful telephone apology to the Clintons she is still rated a 7 on Hillary's spreadsheet.

Before he died Senator Ted Kennedy was also a 7 after he gave Obama a critical endosement as well. Allen and Parnes say that one of Hillary's aides joked about the fate of her foes.

"Bill Richardson: investigated; John Edwards: disgraced by scandal; Chris Dodd: stepped down. Ted Kennedy: dead."

Others not in the Clintons' good graces include now Secretary of State John Kerry, Senator Patrick Leahy, Senator Bob Casey, Chris Van Hollen, and Senator Jay Rockefeller.

A source told Politico that the spreadsheet "wasn’t so much punishing as rewarding."

"I honestly think that’s an important subtlety in Bill Clinton, in his head. She’s not as calculated, but he is."

"I don't want to make her sound like Nixon in a pantsuit," another source said.
