FROM little sister to pin-up girl, Gracie Otto has shed her clothes for the latest issue of GQ Australia.
The daughter of veteran actor Barry Otto and sister of actress Miranda Otto graces the pages of this month’s mag in a sexy six-page shoot, and opens up about growing up in the spotlight.
Despite her famous surname, the youngest of the Otto clan is determined to make it on her own, and she’s doing a fabulous job of it so far.
The 27-year-old filmmaker, actress and writer has been busy directing her critically applauded documentary The Last Impresario.
The film, which was unveiled at last year’s London Film Festival, explores the life of British theatre and film producer Michael White, which led to her chance meeting with Jack Nicholson.
“I didn’t think he’d turn up — as I heard he doesn’t really go out that much. So I got there late and there he was in a three-piece suit,” Otto told GQ of her casual dinner with the iconic actor at LA’s Chateau Marmont.
“It was a moment in life when you get to meet someone really cool and see them in their own environment.”
The Sydneysider is already on to her next project — a movie script she’s been working on for the past six years.
“It’s called Girls in Hotels. And it’s about girls in hotels; girls like me who spend time in hotels around the world — little stories about what they’re doing there as guests. I’ve always been fascinated by the hotel world,” she told the magazine.
The August issue of GQ magazine is out Monday, 14 July.
