Ashley Graham slams critics who think she was forced to pose a certain way
VOGUE magazine has been accused of photoshopping Gigi Hadid’s arm on the latest cover to make Ashley Graham seem thinner.

‘PLUS-SIZE’ model and all round glamour Ashley Graham is smashing model stereotypes left, right and centre but that doesn’t mean she’s free from criticism or perhaps photoshop.
Graham appears alongside six other models including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner for the cover of US Vogue’s March issue emblazoned with the title ‘The Beauty Revolution.’
The photo in question has been the focus of much speculation about whether Photoshop was used or whether Graham was forced to pose in a certain way.
Graham, who stands second from the left, is the only model in the shot with her hand down on her leg which led to thousands of fans speculating whether she’d been told to pose like that.
And notice how they only had Ashley Graham cover her thigh. Gross af https://t.co/w8Mu2ojmsn

Find this quite galling. Why is Ashley Graham the only one covering her thigh? https://t.co/zAv7fThCKy

On Instagram, her followers felt the same way.
One wrote “I wish your hand was up — nothing to cover up! You are beautiful”, while another commented “So proud of you. Wish they hadn’t hidden your curves so much but girl you slay.”
Graham clearly wasn’t a fan of all the comments speculating about her posing and decided to set the record straight.
“I chose to pose like that. No one told me to do anything,” the 28-year old model wrote.
While the posing issue might be cleared up, Vogue has also come under fire for Photoshop allegations.
Those alleging Photoshop was used are using Hadid’s hand as evidence. Many are calling it “abnormally long.”
Many were quick to point out the errors with one user writing “What is wrong with Gigi’s arm and hand? Obviously photoshopped, if not her fingers are damn long and stretched”.
Another wrote “Shame on you for this, GiGi’s arm is clearly photoshopped to look longer to cover Ashley’s belly. Also, having Ashley drop her hand to make her leg look slimmer is shocking.”
Others think there’s a simpler explanation and the hand is actually Graham’s, which is just wrapped around her own waist.
Known as the ‘plus size’ model who’s breaking down barriers, the 28-year old’s career skyrocketed last year where she graced the covers of Maxim, Sports Illustrated and Vogue UK.
Her appearance on this cover of Vogue is part of their “diversity” issue in which Graham addresses the modelling industry’s “cult of ultra-thinness.”
“Sixty-seven per cent of the women in America wear a size 14 or larger,” Graham told Vogue.
“Sixty-seven per cent. Maybe you could ignore those consumers before, but now, thanks to social media, they’re making their voices heard. Women are demanding that brands give them what they want. And what they want is to be visible.”
