Asher Keddie speaks of how motherhood has changed her life for the better

A BESOTTED Asher Keddie has spoken about the love she has for her first born son Valentino just weeks after he arrived prematurely on March 1.

A BESOTTED Asher Keddie has spoken about the love she has for her first born son Valentino.

The Offspring actress and her husband Vincent Fantauzzo welcomed their baby boy into the world two weeks early on March 1, a premature arrival which Keddie said was, “a lovely surprise”.

“I can’t believe how much I love him, it’s indescribable,” Keddie, 40 gushed to WHO magazine, which hits the stands today.

“I’ll always remember that moment we met him to be one of pure joy.”

On how they chose the name Valentino: “His daddy is Italian, passionate and big on romance, as am I, so I think it was always going to be something that was romantic, and perhaps a little dramatic,” she said.

“It’s been a thrilling month: giving birth to Val, and then being rewarded for my work again with Logies nominations for two really diverse shows – it’s incredibly encouraging.”

After meeting through mutual friend, celebrity chef Matt Moran, Keddie began dating Fantauzzo in 2012, after splitting from her husband of five years, Jay Bowen.
