IT’S a juggling act that perhaps only a master of martial arts can achieve.

Tiffiny Hall, a Logie-nominated former trainer on The Biggest Loserwho is returning to this year’s series, launches her new children’s book this week.

That’s on top of her work as a fifth dan taekwondo instructor, health coach, fitness trainer and motivational speaker for children. But the 30-year-old says everyone who has a dream juggles.

“My dream has always been to write fiction, but to financially support that dream I worked in health and fitness, teaching taekwondo, group fitness, personal training, working as a trainer on TV until the dream took over,” she says.

“I find although it’s a juggle, they all feed each other. Working in health and fitness is a wonderful landscape to draw inspiration for my books, and I find teaching kids at Halls (taekwondo, her family’s school) helps me to stay in touch.”

Hall’s new book, Maxi and The Magical Money Tree is in bookstores on July 1 and tells the story of a girl who discovers a money tree growing at her home.

“I hope the novel teaches kids to respect money and ask the question, would more money really make me happier?” she says.

The idea for the book came to Hall as she was planning her wedding last year to radio host and actor Ed Kavalee.

“There were moments when I wished for a money tree, but would it be a blessing or a curse? I first imagined notes growing up through my floorboards that I could harvest to pay for the wedding gown but then the idea grew,” she says.

“Themes of greed and popularity feed into the discussion around money as Maxi forges her identity and stands up to bullies.”

Hall was a trainer on The Biggest Loser in 2011 and 2012 before calling a time out to focus on her writing. The series, which has been renamed TBL Families, will air on Channel Ten later this year.
