Beloved Nova star Ash Bradnam leaving after 20 years on-air
One of radio’s most recognisable voices has left listeners stunned after signing off for the very last time on Friday morning.
Ash Bradnam is leaving his top-rated Nova 106.9 Breakfast show after over 20 years on the air.
Bradnam signed off from the Ash, Luttsy & Nikki Osborne Show for the final time on Friday, bringing to a close one of Brisbane radio’s most recognisable eras.
Nova 106.9 has revealed that its new breakfast show will be announced “in due course” over the coming weeks.

Bradnam left the show with an emotional statement as he said his farewells to his co-stars and those listening at home.
“I’ve had the time of my life … I’ve loved this job … and I really feel like I’ve had the full brekkie radio experience. You know I’ve been stealing soft drinks from the street team for over a decade now,” said the star.
He added: “I’ve sat in this chair every day for two decades … I’m going to miss working with you, Lutts, I love you. And to the listeners, thank you. I love radio. I’ve loved this job. I’ve absolutely loved sharing my mornings with you. So, thanks very much for listening, and thank you for 20 years.”
David “Luttsy” Lutteral, Ash’s co-host over those past two decades, said that Bradman is a “brilliant talent” who will be hugely missed.
“Quite simply, nobody has had a greater impact on Nova Brisbane in its history. Ash is a true radio man, a legend of his craft and a brilliant talent. This landscape will feel completely foreign without him. I am certain he will pursue new projects, and I can’t wait to see his next evolution.”

There’s been somewhat of a radio bloodbath in recent days as changes have been made to some of Australia’s most popular stations. Three days after giving an interview in which she sought to bring calm following news that the Kyle & Jackie O radio show had shed market share in both Sydney and Melbourne, ARN radio executive Lauren Joyce was made redundant.
ARN CEO Michael Stephenson on Friday confirmed the media company was conducting a “restructure” of its “audience and content function”.
“ARN has been evolving its content operations since late 2022 as we continue to build a business that’s ready for the future,” Mr Stephenson said.
“As part of the next phase, we’re reorganising our audience & content function to separate our core content teams from the support teams, allowing us to focus more clearly on creating and delivering great content.
“This restructure includes the role of chief content officer, who will have sole responsibility for content creation and distribution.”
