CHRISSY Teigen appeared to enjoy a nap during the 2017 Oscars ceremony, as cameras caught her leaning on her husband John Legend’s shoulder.

The stunning model, 31, was caught apparently having a sleep midway through the star-studded bash, and eagle-eyed viewers immediately screen-shotted the moment it was captured on camera, reports The Sun.

Towards the end of the ceremony, shortly after Casey Affleck was named Best Actor for his role in Manchester By The Sea, he was giving his acceptance speech on stage.

The camera then panned round to show producer Matt Damon in the crowd, but fans’ attention was drawn further behind him to Teigen.

The star was caught with her head on John’s shoulder and her eyes closed, sparking speculation she had dozed off.

Just a few minutes later, it was over to the Best Actress award, and Teigen was once again caught with her eyes shut in the same position as the camera captured nominee Meryl Streep.

Fans began sharing the shot on Twitter, and one tweeted: “I think my favourite part of the Oscars so far has been Chrissy Teigen sleeping on John. She is my spirit animal.”

While another added: “Anyone else notice @chrissyteigen asleep behind Meryl Streep? No shame in her game. Lol! #LiveOnK2 #Oscars.”

And one wrote: “.@ChrissyTeigen is my role model for so many reasons, but falling asleep at the #Oscars takes the biscuit. #Monday.”

Given the controversial way the ceremony ended with La La Land mistakenly being named Best Picture over Moonlight, Teigen took to Twitter with a perfectly timed joke.

“Just woke up. What happened?” she tweeted.

The star stunned on the red carpet just hours before, opting for a thigh-split white dress which showed off her incredible post-baby body.

But Teigen’s naps didn’t end there; later she posted another snap of her sleeping backstage on another shoulder — this time belonging to host Jimmy Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo.

Earlier, the star suffered a pre-Oscars nightmare as she revealed a nasty burn on her leg.

Filming her thigh adorned with a Band Aid, she said: “So I have a pretty bad burn on my leg right where my slit is on my dress.”

As she peeled the band aid off, Teigen revealed an angry red circle which clearly hurt as she said: “Ow f**k!”

The 31-year-old ended up being one of the best dressed on the red carpet in a white Grecian style dress and the burn was barely visible after her glam squad managed to cover up her injury.
