Hollywood stars have partied up a storm at a string of lavish events after the 76th Emmy Awards.
Honorary Australian Naomi Watts was all smiles as she cosied up to husband Billy Crudup at the Governors Gala after his win for the Apple TV+ show Morning Wars at the awards show.
The stunning star later changed into a dazzling sequined dress as the pair headed to the Apple TV+ after-party at the ritzy LA restaurant Mother Wolf.
Across town, Sofia Vergara posed for selfies at the Netflix after-party at the Hilex as she danced the night away with German supermodel Heidi Klum, while Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston mingled with other celebrities at the Apple TV+ event.
The stars of stalking drama Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning, were the centre of attention at the Netflix party, happily posing with stars as they celebrated the show’s four Emmy wins.
It came after the action-packed ceremony at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, held just eight months after the previous Emmys, which were delayed after the writers’ strike.
The stunning Watts, who was nominated for her work in Feud: Capote vs. the Swans but lost out to Jodie Foster, channelled vintage glamour on the red carpet before the ceremony.
Vogue Australia’s Francesca Wallace hailed Watts’ look as a modern take on a classic.
“Naomi’s jewel-toned strapless gown has a beautiful shape, and the emerald goes perfectly with her skin tone,” she said.
“She’s kept her bob sleek and simple, with minimal jewellery which ensures this look remains classic and a modern take on Old Hollywood.”
Fellow Aussie actor Marlo Kelly captured attention on the red carpet at the Emmys.
The rising Sydney star was embracing the underwear-as-outerwear trend, wearing a lace bra paired with a low-cut dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s autumn ’24 collection.
Ripley star Dakota Fanning, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series Or Movie, was also a red carpet highlight.
“Dakota Fanning in Armani is a shimmering statuesque take on elegant red carpet dressing,” Vogue’s Francesca Wallace said.
“She has nailed the quiet minimalism look of 2024, but with a touch of sparkle.”
Screen legend Meryl Streep was also a standout.
“I love this fresh look from Meryl Streep,” Vogue’s Francesca Wallace said.
“It feels super youthful because of the delicate pink colour and the slightly oversized cut. I would have loved a different bag but overall the tied up bow is the cherry on top of a gorgeous look.”
A-lister Reese Witherspoon went for a tried and tested look, Vogue’s Francesca Wallace said.
“Reese Witherspoon has kept it classic and safe this year, which is her M.O. It’s a tried and tested silhouette for Reese who loves a strapless princess gown.”
The previous ceremony was delayed from 2023 due to the actors’ and writers’ strikes.
While royal drama The Crown is still a force with 18 nominations, it’s not expected to factor. Instead, the brilliant Japanese historical drama Shogun looks set to reign supreme with a total of 24 nominations.
