A happy, healthy and sober Cara Delevingne was seen having fun — and declining the offer of a cocktail — at the 2023 Oscars on Sunday night, witnesses say.
According to Page Six, the supermodel — who recently revealed in an American Vogue cover story that she decided to enter rehab and get sober — played around with actress and fellow Academy Awards presenter Florence Pugh at the Dolby Theatre bar, according to sources.
The duo took a break from the star-studded ceremony as they headed down a long ramp to the bar together, according to reports.
A friend carried the trains of 30-year-old Delevingne and 27-year-old Pugh’s dramatic evening dresses, but let go so they could dance and sing at the bar together.
However, this time, Delevingne’s fun wasn’t fuelled by alcohol.
When a bartender poured a mixed drink for the model, she politely declined and offered it to the crowd.
“Who wants a vodka soda?! Vodka soda?!” both she and the Little Women actress yelled, a source told Page Six.
Delevingne instead opted to drink soda water and cranberry juice.
It is unclear what Pugh, who is not sober, ordered.
THE LADY IN RED
Delevingne turned heads on Sunday night in a stunning comeback at the 2023 Oscars after opening up about her harrowing addiction and time in rehab.
The actor and model arrived at the 95th Academy Awards transformed herself in to lady in red, in a classic off-the shoulder gown from Elie Saab’s fall/winter 2021 couture collection which featured a giant bow on one shoulder, a high leg slit, and a dramatic skirt that flowed onto the champagne-coloured carpet.
Delevingne finished the look with a pair of shiny red satin platform sandals with straps at the ankles by Stuart Weitzman, and strings of Bulgari diamonds.
Her jewellery included a three-layer diamond necklace, a matching twist-around bracelet, a massive diamond ring, and diamond cluster earrings.
She wore her hair in a sleek updo, showing off co-ordinating diamond earrings with emerald accents and rocking a soft pink makeup look.
The stunning comeback comes after Delevingne appeared on the cover of the April 2023 issue of American Vogue where she opens about her health struggles after footage of her barefoot at an airport was shared across the world’s media.
The 30-year-old said she checked herself into a rehabilitation centre after seeing the footage of herself at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles after returning from Burning Man.
“I hadn’t slept. I was not okay,” she told Vogue US.
“It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having fun, but at some point it was like, ‘Okay, I don’t look well.’ You know, sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way those pictures were something to be grateful for.
“All I knew is if I was continuing to go down the road I was, I would either end up dead or, like, doing something really, really stupid.”
“Treatment was the best thing. It was always something I was very scared of, but I think I needed that community. I needed that support group.”
She has since committed to sobriety.
Her appearance comes a week after attending the 2023 SAG Awards, where she wore a sharp-shouldered black gown by Carolina Herrera with De Beers diamond jewellery.
