Adelaide’s Kane Godlevsky, 23, is one of the stars on the new season of Love Island Australia

The Lockleys footy player says he’s never been in a relationship is hoping to find his first romance on the latest season of a popular TV series.

Adelaide’s newest Love Island star says his family is right behind his quest to find romance on the racy reality dating show.

Kane Godlevsky, 23, will be among 14 sexy singles on the new series, hosted by Sophie Monk and filmed in a villa in Mallorca, Spain.

It’s a long way from Godlevsky’s Fulham Gardens home, where he lives with his family including his parents and two brothers and two sisters.

The laid-back carpenter, who has never been in a relationship, said his mother is a keen fan of the show, and has joked that she’ll be watching him at all times.

“All my friends have said I’d be good on a show like this. Even my parents have said they can see me on it,” he said.

“It’s something I’ve always thought about doing. So to apply for the first time and make it is amazing.”

Godlevsky, who plays amateur league football with Lockleys in the western suburbs, said he’s excited to meet his fellow castmates and embark on a journey to find love for the first time.

“I just haven’t found the one that would be good for me,” he said.

“In terms of looks, I go for both blondes and brunettes. And someone I can have a really good laugh with.

“I’m the kind of person who also loves the sun and summer, so being in Spain at this time of year will be nice.”

Love Island Australia’s sixth season will debut on Monday, October 28, on 9Now.
