Organisers of a Brisbane music festival have been slammed after revellers were forced to wait hours in 2km lines, some demanding refunds.

Punters took aim at metal gig Good Things Festival on social media with some stuck in queues for more than two hours in long lines.

The festival, which opened at 12pm at the RNA Showgrounds on Sunday, was headlined by the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Deftones, Polaris and The Amity Affliction.

The comment thread on Good Things social media channels was lit up with people slamming the festival wait times and demanding refunds.

Many said they missed their favourite artist with the lines stretching passed the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

“I am never going to go to the Brisbane showgrounds ever again for an event. Absolute s—t show,” one commenter said.

“Missed one of the main bands I came to see, beyond a joke,” another comment read.

“This is one hell of a car park.”

“Wow getting in was by far the worst from any festival I have ever attended. Missed bands because of it and we did the right thing and lined up for two hours for people to cross the road 500m from the entry and walk straight in,” another read.

Reddit threads were also heavy with posts about the festival.

“Doors opened 45 minutes ago and the line hasn’t moved once. It was like a 2km walk to the end of it too,” one post read.

It comes after fellow revellers at the Rufus du Sol festival the weekend prior had also unloaded on social media after they were funnelled out of the showgrounds with just one exit.

Festival chaos also unfolded at The Spilt Milk on the Gold Coast when fans climbed stage rigging during Fisher’s set prompting the DJ to threaten to stop the show.

Spilt Milk had also been plagued with delays on entry with thousands of fans waiting more than an hour.

Good Things Festival and RNA Showgrounds were approached for comment.
