The countdown is on for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards, set to dazzle the Gold Coast this Friday night with a jaw-dropping line-up of celebrities, star-studded performances, and Hollywood A-listers.

Already boasting major names like host Russell Crowe and Superman star Henry Cavill, the event has just added even more firepower to its roster.

Acting royalty Miranda Otto, Sam Neill, and Bryan Brown are now confirmed to walk the red carpet.

Music legends Robbie Williams and Paul Kelly will also be taking the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable fusion of live music and cinematic celebration.

AACTA CEO Damian Trewhella teased the night as the “most dynamic yet.”

“Beyond recognising our incredible nominees, we’re thrilled to present an entertainment spectacular with Robbie Williams and Paul Kelly sharing the stage with our screen luminaries,” Mr Trewhella said.

“This fusion of live entertainment and cinematic celebration perfectly captures the vibrant, creative spirit of our industry.”

Following the ceremony, the party will continue in style at Vogue Australia’s exclusive afterparty, featuring a curated menu and premium wines from official partner Tar & Roses.

In a scheduling shake-up, the awards have moved to Friday night to align with the international awards circuit, ensuring that industry heavyweights can jet back to Los Angeles in time for major events like the Producers Guild of America and Directors Guild of America Awards over the weekend.

Alongside the awards, the AACTA Festival, which will run from February 5 to 9, has also added several notable names to its schedule.

French director Coralie Fargeat, whose film The Substance has garnered Oscar buzz, will join a virtual Q&A, while Better Man actor Jonno Davies has been confirmed for festival events.

Miranda Otto will also participate in a festival panel, Thou Shalt Not Steal, marking the only opportunity for the public to see her in person.

Meanwhile, singer-turned-athlete Cody Simpson will sit down for an exclusive one-on-one conversation, discussing his transition from global pop sensation to Olympic swimmer and his upcoming role in Guys & Dolls.
