Ranked: Best and worst schools for NAPLAN in Adelaide’s north, inner-north and northeast

New figures reveal which schools across Adelaide’s inner-north, northern suburbs and northeast performed the best and worst for NAPLAN. See the list.

Heritage College and St Andrew’s School are Adelaide north, inner-north and northeast’s top-performing NAPLAN schools.

An independent analysis of newly-released 2023 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the year 5 and year 9 tests. You can see the full SA list here.

St Andrew’s School, in Walkerville, had the best primary results than any other school in the Adelaide north, inner-north and northeast, scoring an average of 573.0 this year.

St Monica’s Parish School in Walkerville was the second best for the region with an average score of 554.6, while Wilderness School in Medindie was the third best with an average score of 544.8.

The top performing secondary school was Heritage College, in Oakden, where the average result was 618.8.

Saint Ignatius’ College in Athelstone was the second best for the region with an average score of 612.4, while Wilderness School in Medindie was the third best with an average score of 607.0.

To determine how each school performed in 2023, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (year 5 or year 9) were combined and the average found.

Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.

The figures were independently compiled from the federal government’s MySchool website.
