Rosedale State School named Bundaberg's worst performer in new NAPLAN data
Bundaberg schools face dramatic performance gaps as new data shows some students scoring 200 points below others within the region.
Rosedale State School is Bundaberg’s worst performing NAPLAN school in 2025.
An independent analysis of newly-released 2025 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the Year 5 and 9 tests.
Rosedale State School had the worst primary school results in Bundaberg, scoring an average of 404.2, and the worst secondary school results, with an average of 484.8.
Bundaberg South State School was the second worst performing primary school in the region with an average score 411.4, while Moore Park Beach State School third worst with an average score of 416.2.
Kepnock State High School was Bundaberg’s second worst performing secondary school with an average score of 495, and Bundaberg North State School came in third where the average result was 506.2.
To determine how each school performed in 2025, the scores for all five test subjects taken by Year 5 and 9 students were combined and an average was found.
Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN were excluded from the analysis.
The figures were independently compiled from the Federal Government’s MySchool website.
