Revealed: Gympie's top-performing primary and high schools for NAPLAN 2025
The top spots for primary and secondary performance in the Gympie region's 2025 NAPLAN can be revealed.
Independent analysis of newly-released 2025 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the Year 5 and Year 9 tests across its five categories of reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy.
Rainbow Beach State School topped the charts for primary school performance in NAPLAN this year, with an average year 5 score of 496.4.
Close behind was Cooloola Christian College, in Southside, with an average year 5 score of 494.0.
The third-highest average year 5 score came from St Patrick’s Primary School, at 482.2.
Independent combined school Victory College, in Araluen, came out a winner for secondary results, with an average year 9 score of 572.6.
Cooloola Christian College’s year 9 cohort was second highest, with an average score of 560.4.
In third place was secondary school St Patrick’s College, whose year 9 students scored an average of 556.0.
To determine how each school performed in 2025, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (year 5 or year 9) were combined for an average.
Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.
These figures were independently compiled from the Federal Government’s MySchool website.
