NAPLAN 2019: The best Queensland schools revealed

Two girls schools have topped the charts in NAPLAN with newly-released results revealing the best performing schools in the state. SEE THE FULL LIST.

ST Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in Ascot and Brisbane Girls Grammar have topped the NAPLAN results in Queensland.

Newly released results for the 2019 tests reveal St Margaret’s was the best performing primary school in the state when average Yr 3 and Yr 5 results were added together.

Rainworth and Ashgrove State Schools were the second and third best performing primary schools in the state.

Brisbane Girls Grammar School topped the charts for high schools followed by Brisbane Grammar School and Brisbane State High School.

HOW EVERY QUEENSLAND SCHOOL PERFORMED

Students in Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 took part in NAPLAN in May - the controversial nationwide standardised test.

The test is designed to measure students in literacy and numeracy and track progress.
