Top 150 high schools ranked across Queensland suburbs

The best 150 high schools across Queensland suburbs have been revealed with a number of Brisbane-based campuses coming in at the top.
An analysis of the state’s top high schools – both government and private between years 7 and 10 – have been ranked with a score of 60-100 by independent website Better Education.
Only a handful of suburbs saw schools receive perfect marks, majority of which were in Brisbane’s inner city.
The suburb of Brisbane had the top outcome with four schools in the area getting perfect scores including Brisbane Grammar School, Brisbane Girls Grammar School, All Hallows’ School and Ormiston College, while St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace saw a score of 99.
South Brisbane also had two schools – Brisbane State High School and Somerville House – score points of 100, while Toowong had the number one school on the list, the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology.
Meanwhile, Somerset College in Mudgeeraba was the only school outside of Brisbane to score a 100.
Toowong also had Brisbane Boys’ College see a near perfect score of 99, while Indooroopilly had St Peters Lutheran College also score 99 and Indooroopilly State School score 98.
Buderim and Forest Glen both had the highest ranking schools in the Sunshine Coast with Immanuael Lutheran College, Matthew Flinders Anglican College and Sunshine Coast Grammar School scoring 98s.
In North Queensland, the top school in Townsville was in North Ward with Townsville Grammar School receiving a 99, while Annandale Christian College had a 96, The Cathedral School in Mundingburra had a score of 95 and Southern Cross Catholic School in Annandale had a 92.
Mackay saw Whitsunday Anglican School in Beaconsfield get a top score of 99, as well as Rockhampton Grammar School get a 94 and Good Counsel College in Innisfail get a 92.
Meanwhile, Toowoomba saw a number of high scoring schools including Toowoomba Grammar with 97, Concordia Lutheran College, Toowoomba Anglican College and The Glennie School with 96, St Ursula’s College and Highlands Christian College with 94 and St Joseph’s College with 93.
