QTAC offers out today for thousands Queensland school leavers

Thousands of Queenslanders have received university offers this morning, with the most popular courses also revealed.

More than 11,000 Queensland Year 12 students have received a university offer in more than 1000 courses.

On Thursday, 11,485 students joined the 4630 early offers from QTAC into Queensland universities.

Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre chief executive Dr John Griffiths said it was pleasing to see how many students received an offer just before Christmas.

“This allows them to head into the holiday season with certainty as to what they will be

studying in 2022,” he said.

“These students have shown great resilience over the last two years which provides a great foundation for their future studies”.

The most offered course was Engineering at the University of Queensland with 219 students offered positions, followed by Society and Culture.

As many as 200 students were offered a position in Bachelor of Arts at University of Queensland, while Griffith University had 200 offers for Bachelor of Business.

At Queensland University of Technology, 190 positions were offered to Bachelor of Engineering students while Bachelor of Education at Griffith University had 165.

In terms of the broad field of study, Society and Culture (for example: law, economics, psychology, sports and recreation) had 2676 offers, health had 1772, Management and Commerce saw 1555 and Natural and Physical Sciences had 1435.

“QTAC remains committed to all students, whether they received an ATAR or not, being able

to access the great education opportunities provided in Queensland”.

There would be another offer round on Thursday, January 13.

Last year, 9983 Year 12 students received a tertiary education offer, adding to 4697 early offers.
