WHERE CAN I TRAVEL WITHIN QUEENSLAND?

Queenslanders can visit anywhere within the state, except for biosecurity or restricted areas, with no kilometre limit.

CAN I FLY WITHIN QUEENSLAND?

Yes, Queenslanders can travel anywhere within the state.

CAN I TRAVEL INTERSTATE?

Yes; however you must abide by each state and territory’s COVID-19 rules and regulations, which may include self-quarantining in that state and when you return. The Queensland Government does not recommend leaving Queensland except for essential reasons.

CAN FAMILY AND FRIENDS FROM OVERSEAS OR INTERSTATE VISIT ME?

Queensland’s border still remains closed. Anyone crossing the border into Queensland will require a Queensland Entry Pass and may be required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival, with people arriving in Queensland from overseas set to be charged fees for quarantining in government arranged accommodation from July 1, 2020.

CAN WE DINE-IN AT PUBS, CAFES AND RESTAURANTS?

Yes, however because social distancing measures must be enforced at these venues, it’s wise to call ahead or visit the venue’s website to check whether you need to book in advance.

CAN WE GO CAMPING?

Yes. Groups of up to 20 can participate in hiking, camping and other recreational activities in national and state parks in Queensland.

CAN I BOOK A STAY IN A HOTEL OR RESORT?

Yes. Tip: If you’re staying in accommodation overnight, keep benches and other surfaces clean.

WHAT’S THE PETROL CYCLE DOING?

Prices are currently going down with the cost of unleaded in Brisbane sitting at 112.5c per litre and diesel at 113.2c per litre.

AM I ALLOWED TO HAVE A PARTY AT MY PLACE?

Yes, but only up to 20 people at your house at one time, including children and adults, although social distancing should still be implemented.

IS MY CHILD ALLOWED TO GO FOR A SLEEPOVER AT A FRIEND’S HOUSE?

Yes, although if they are not feeling well, it is best to reschedule.

HOW CAN I STAY HEALTHY OVER THE HOLIDAYS?

Remember to adhere to the basic health and safety measures implemented to help combat COVID-19.

These include: keeping 1.5m apart, keeping an alcohol-based sanitiser in the car, always cover coughs and sneezes with an elbow or a clean tissue and, if you can, get a flu shot to protect yourself from influenza
