QUEENSLANDERS have overwhelmingly backed closing the borders, according to a Courier-Mail Facebook poll.
About 92 per cent of the more than 14,000 people who had their say in the poll supported the Sunshine State closing its borders once again.

Meanwhile, another survey of readers on couriermail.com.au found 60 per cent of the more than 2700 people who responded supported a border shutdown to all visitors.
About 28 per cent suggested the border should remain open, but closed to Sydney residents and another 12 per cent said the borders should be kept open.
Asked on Thursday morning about speculation the border could be shut again to NSW, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said: “We’re monitoring that every day.”
“I’m absolutely determined to keep Queenslanders safe,” she said.
“I’ll be getting further updates today. So every single day after NSW reports on their cases, if we have to declare further hot spots, we will declare further hot spots.”
The Premier said she would not hesitate to take “quick and swift action” if NSW experiences a similar scale of community transmissions to Victoria.
Ms Palaszczuk said she was disappointed that NSW had ruled out moving the border checkpoints south.
“This was about just easing the border communities,” she said.
“It was about making their life easier and it’s disappointing, but they’re NSW residents and there’s nothing I can do about that.”
Queensland’s borders remain open to visitors from every state, except Victoria and certain hot spots in NSW.
