Qld hits 91 per cent vaccination rate as 12 new Covid deaths recorded

Queensland has recorded 4,152 positive Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours and 12 new deaths, as the state’s vaccination rate reaches 91 per cent.

Queensland has recorded 4,152 new cases overnight and 12 deaths, as the state’s fully vaccinated rate ticks over to 91 per cent.

Queensland Health has reported 276 people requiring hospitalisation, with 21 of those currently in ICU.

The tragic announcement of another 12 deaths brings the state’s total toll up to 589 people since the pandemic started.

There are currently 30,185 active cases and 7,227 people turned up for testing in the past 24 hours.

The Metro South area has recorded the most cases and deaths since the pandemic started, with more than 95 thousand positive cases and 211 lives lost.

It is followed by Metro North with more than 84 thousand cases and 101 lives lost.
