Qld Covid: 2872 new infections and 28,575 active cases
Queensland has recorded the lowest number of reported Covid cases in nearly five months, with hospitalisations also dropping.

Queensland has recorded 2872 new Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours which is the lowest number reported in almost five months.
The last time Queensland Health reported a smaller number of new infections was on New Year’s Day when the state had 2266 cases.
Queensland has only recorded a figure in the 2000s one other time this year, with 2934 having been recorded on March 6.
Today we have recorded 2,872 new COVID-19 cases.

Active cases are also down to an almost 11-week low, with the state reporting 28,575 on Monday.
There are also nine less people hospitalised due to Covid-19 compared to Sunday’s figures, with 365 currently receiving treatment, four of which are in ICU.
Sadly, one person lost their life over the past 24 hours, but this figure is also down.
More than 2200 of Monday’s new infections were from rapid antigen tests, while 601 were from PCR tests.
As at May 28, 92.91 per cent of Queenslanders aged 16 years or older have had at least one dose of a Covid vaccine.
