A tough new campaign warning unvaccinated Queenslanders of the freedoms they will lose will be rolled out across the state from Tuesday.
Billboards, digital and media advertisements will carry the blunt message: “No jabs? No pubs, no gigs, no footy, no movies and no festivals” in an effort to get more Queenslanders vaccinated.
A spokesman for the Palaszczuk government said the ad would remind people what was at stake if they remained unvaccinated against Covid-19.
“More and more Queenslanders are getting vaccinated every day but there is still a long way to go,” he said.
“This campaign will remind people about the rewards of getting vaccinated and direct them to a web page where they can book an appointment. Those who are vaccinated will be able to enjoy more freedoms than those who are unvaccinated after December 17.”
The spokesman said it was vital people yet to receive the jab did so as soon as possible before borders open.
“Because we know that if you’re vaccinated, you’re less likely to pass on Covid to your friends or family and much less likely to get severely ill,” he said.
