Queensland had recorded one new case of community Covid-19, a person related to the Indooroopilly cluster.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said there was “absolutely no concern”, with the person in home quarantine.
It comes as 49.4 per cent of Queenslanders have had their first dose of the vaccine and 30 per cent are fully vaxxed.
The Premier also revealed there will be a new mass-vaccination hub as Queensland continues to fall behind in the race to vaccinate, with the state having four of Australia’s 10 local council areas with the lowest number of people jabbed.

“Starting from Wednesday 8 September, Boondall will open to its first 1,500 bookings, ramping up to 3,000 a day as more vaccines become available,” she said.
“We will also have walk-in days where you won’t need an appointment to be vaccinated.”
Ms Palaszczuk ramped up her calls for Queenslanders to get vaccinated, declaring every day was “critical” before the next Delta outbreak.
She said the state Disaster Commissioner Steve Gollschewski would meet the New South Wales border commissioner about shifting the border to allow the Tweed community to coexist.
“We’ve extended the olive branch,” she said.
Ms Palaszczuk said she was “very encouraged” by Queensland’s vaccination rate, but acknowledged the state didn’t have a dense population like New South Wales or Victoria.
“We are a very decentralised state,” she said.
The Premier did however stress the importance of vaccination rates simultaneously lifting across the state.
“We are targeting now where we need to lift those vaccination rates up in people,” she said.
“Let’s work together and get it done.”
She said that the state’s pending influx of the Moderna vaccine was one of the reasons the new mass vaccination hub at Boondall could be opened.
“I look forward to seeing how much Moderna Queensland will be receiving,” she said.
Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said the family linked to the new case have been “outstanding” in their home quarantine.
“They’ve done amazing,” she said.
Dr Young emphasised the importance of minimising the risk of any border crossings from NSW.
“Our main concern is bringing the Delta variant into our hospitals.”
