Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced the state government will no longer recommend mask wearing in indoor settings.
It comes amid declining case numbers off the back of the third wave of Covid to grip the state.
Ms Palaszczuk said there were now 320 Covid patients in hospital, describing it as “excellent” news.
The number of health workers off sick has also dropped from a peak of about 2500 down to 488.
The Premier said masks were no longer recommended indoors, but they would remain mandatory in hospitals, aged care facilities, and on public transport.
