Coronavirus QLD: Another day of zero cases, state awaits border news
Queensland has recorded yet another day with zero new cases of coronavirus as the state awaits news on plans to reopen the border. It comes as Victoria’s case numbers continue to go from bad to worse.

QUEENSLAND has again recorded another 24-hour period without a single coronavirus cases as the state awaits plans to reopen the border.
There were no new cases over the weekend, with just two cases still active on Sunday.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has consistently said she would announce her plans for reopening the border tomorrow.
She said the Government was encouraged about the proposal of a one person for every two square metre rule that came out of National Cabinet on Friday.
“The Chief Health Officer is currently considering that,” Ms Palaszczuk said yesterday.
“We’ll be working towards that.”
It comes as Victoria continues to experience a surge in coronavirus cases, with 49 new cases announced yesterday.
Only four of them are linked to existing cases.
Meanwhile, Victoria has posted another significant jump in cases overnight, with 75 detected, taking the state’s total to 2099.
Of the new cases, one was detected in hotel quarantine, 14 have been linked to known outbreaks, 37 were discovered through routine testing, six cases were through community transmission and 23 are under investigation.
There are now 288 active cases in Victoria.
