Passengers on board the cruise first reported feeling unwell when the ship reached waters off far north Queensland.

The ship has not changed its itinerary despite the positive Covid cases with the cruise now heading for Auckland to begin its New Zealand leg of its voyage.

A Princess Cruises spokeswoman confirmed the cases with The Courier-Mail.

“There are a handful of cases on board the Coral Princess. Some decided to disembark the ship while others have decided to continue with their itinerary, cruising to New Zealand,” she said.

“Those that decided to stay on board are isolating in their cabins.”
