Qld records 7289 new Covid cases and five deaths as Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner tests positive

Queensland has recorded 7289 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths in the past 24 hours as Brisbane’s Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner has confirmed he has tested positive to the virus, but will continue working while isolating.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner has tested positive to Covid-19.

Cr Schrinner tweeted that he would be isolating with his wife Nina and kids for a week.

“With Brisbane recovering from one of its worst-ever flood events, I’ll continue working from home overseeing the massive clean-up and recovery efforts,” he wrote.

Queensland on Thursday recorded 7289 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths, bringing the state total up to 69,154 active cases.

It marks a drop from the 10,626 cases recorded on Wednesday.

As of the 28th of March, 93.43% of Queenslanders aged 16 years and older have had their first dose of a vaccine, while 91.72% are fully vaccinated.
