After US President-elect suggested former UKIP leader Nigel Farage would make a great Ambassador to the US, Brits have taken to social media to shutdown his idea with a few suggestions of their own.
#BetterAmbassadorsThanFarage was trending on Tuesday as people suggested who might make a better pick. Some of the highlights included Darth Vader, a single microbe of gonhorrea and a banana with a face drawn on it, in what is sure to draw the ire of the UKIP leader.
Many people would like to see @Nigel_Farage represent Great Britain as their Ambassador to the United States. He would do a great job!

On Tuesday Mr Farage hit back at the government for dismissing the suggestion, saying the “dislike of me, UKIP and the referendum result is more important to them than what could be good for our country.”
“It is career politics at its worst and it is now getting in the way of the national interest,” he wrote on the UK edition of far-right website Breitbart.
The comments come after a spokesman for Prime Minister Theresa May said there was “no vacancy” in Washington. The current UK ambassador to the US was appointed in January and typically serve four years, the government said.
Nigel Farage has forged a close relationship with Mr Trump throughout his presidential campaign after successfully campaigning for the UK to leave the European Union.
He has appeared at Mr Trump’s rallies and visited him at Trump Tower since the result, even offering to serve as a go-between between the UK and US — a suggestion politely rebuffed by the UK government.
The Member of the European Parliament is both loved and loathed in the UK. His supporters love his straight-talking style which is credited with fuelling the populist movement affecting politics all over Europe. Critics say he has used dogwhistle politics to stir up anti-immigrant sentiment and he was slammed for immediately reneging on key promises made during the Brexit campaign following the result.
