A SOCIAL media and marketing firm has praised a job seeker for an extraordinary application, which included dog treats, temporary tattoos and a box of marshmallows featuring pictures of the boss.
Tim Hyde, who is head of campaigns at Social Chain, said it was one of the “most creative applications” he has ever received, The Sun reports.
The social media and marketing agency, which has offices in Manchester, New York and Berlin and employs around 80 people in total, works for brands including Apple Music, Asos and Boohoo.com.
Their offices have a bar, a slide and two French bulldogs named Louie and Pablo. Tim, 21, who works in the Manchester office, posted an advert for a Creative Manager on LinkedIn just over three weeks ago.
He told The Sun online that he was stunned when the extraordinary application was delivered to his desk. The package included a letter, a “50 things you need to know” fact sheet, CV, an example blog post, five inspirational quotes based on Tim’s tweets, temporary tattoos of Social Chain’s office dogs, dog treats and a box of marshmallows featuring pictures from Tim’s Instagram.
Tim posted a picture of the application on LinkedIn saying that he was “blown away” by its contents. The post has now been liked over 5000 times and has received hundreds of comments from users all over the world.
“It’s one of the most creative applications we’ve ever seen,” he said. “It was very cool. She’d done all the designs herself. The marshmallows had pictures of myself and my girlfriend on them. That took me back a bit.
“Although, I thought she’d put a lot of effort in and that gets top marks. It gave her a chance to get her foot in the door but she still in the process of deciding who gets the job.”
