Pure Hydrogen introduces E-Aries mid-sized battery electric commercial trucks with loading capacities of 15-30t
The trucks for inner city transportation have a top speed of 100km/h and a 300km range on a single charge
Company also in advanced stages of developing BEV version of its Taurus 70t prime mover
Special Report: Pure Hydrogen has expanded its zero emission vehicles offering with the launch of the E-Aries series of mid-sized battery electric commercial trucks designed specifically for inner city transportation.
The trucks developed by its majority-owned subsidiary HDrive International – in response to increasing demand for mid-distance logistics such as warehouse distribution and courier services – have a gross vehicle mass of between 15 and 30 tonnes.
Pure Hydrogen Corporation (ASX:PH2) will lead the launch of the E-Aries series with the T15, a 15t BEV rigid truck with a 141 kilowatt hour power system, a top speed of up to 100km/h and a range of up to 300km on a single charge.
The T15-EV140 is also equipped with an electronic air compressor, which enhances energy efficiency and reduces maintenance compared to traditional systems, and an electric steering pump that offers precise control and smooth handling while further optimising energy consumption.
Other trucks in the series include two larger models with loading capacities of 23t and 30t.
The addition of the E-Aries vehicles complements and extends the company’s current ZEV offering that include the hydrogen fuel cell-powered Taurus prime mover – two of which were recently sold to TOLL Transport, HFC waste collection trucks and BEV mini-buses.
Cutting edge solutions
“Today marks a significant milestone for Pure Hydrogen as we launch our E-Aries range of battery electric rigid trucks. We thought it was important to give customers a choice of high-quality trucks that cover both BEV and HFC options to cover the widest possible solutions for customers,” PH2 managing director Scott Brown said.
“The E-Aries range has the base model of the T15 which is both high quality and excellent value for money. This vehicle represents our continued commitment to pioneering sustainable solutions and driving the transition to a cleaner future in the commercial vehicle sector.
“By offering zero-emission solutions, we are not only helping businesses reduce their environmental impact but also providing them with a more efficient and cost-effective alternative for their fleets.
“As the sales pipeline for our range of zero-emission commercial vehicles continues to expand, we remain focused on delivering cutting-edge solutions that not only meet today’s sustainability goals but also pave the way for the future of transportation.”
HDrive has also signed a financing facility to support its vehicle rollout strategy and is currently in the advanced development stage for a BEV version of its Taurus 70t prime mover – the E-Taurus – for launch in early 2025.
