CONSTRUCTION of another tower at the $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf project could be brought forward following strong sales of sky-high apartments two years before completion.
The Courier-Mail can exclusively give an inside look at the display rooms for the Queen’s Wharf Residences — perched seven storeys above the integrated resort’s construction site — before its official opening to the public on Thursday.

It comes after it was revealed last week that 80 per cent of the 64-storey tower’s apartments had been sold.
Talking exclusively to The Courier-Mail, Star Entertainment Group chairman John O’Neill AO said the strong sales were helping build a case for another tower to be built sooner.
“To get that sort of result, that sort of expression of interest, is quite breathtaking,” Mr O’Neill said.
“With our partners, I think it’s fair to say we’ll be having some earnest discussions around the timing of tower two, but you’d have to be encouraged.”
When complete in 2022, The Residences will have 667 apartments of one, two or three bedrooms.
Already 500 of those apartments have been snapped up by pre-release buyers.
Mr O’Neill, previously Australian Rugby Union chief executive, said the opening of the display suite was the moment that “the dream becomes a reality”.
Queen’s Wharf head of residential sales Bryce O’Conner said buyers were flocking to the development because of its location and lifestyle.
“You couldn’t ask for anything better,” Mr O’Conner said.
“Having the entertainment precinct, the bars, the cafes and the restaurants and the lifestyle component, and the fact they can live above it.”
