Hong-Kong based global conglomerate Lei Shing Hong Group’s $100 million five-storey landmark development in Newstead, at the Breakfast Creek Wharf entry to the Brisbane CBD is set to open in July.
The building will contain the new state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Brisbane dealership which includes a full floor dedicated to new vehicle display, Australia’s first Mercedes-Benz Museum, an AMG Performance Centre, an S-Class Lounge with concierge service, digital vehicle customisation screens, and more than 40 service bays.
Between 50 and 100 jobs are expected to be created at the site. Among the range of new customer experience and vehicle service technology included will be new MAHA vehicle test lanes that measure steering, brake and suspension performance, wheel alignment and tyre tread depth.
LSH Auto Australia managing director John Good said the development was a clear indication of the confidence the company had in the Australian and, in particular, the Brisbane market.
“Our company operates on a long-term investment strategy. Obviously, this facility shows that we believe the Brisbane premium automotive and luxury lifestyle market offers opportunity,” said Mr Good.
The dealership will be up to three time larger than Mercedes-Benz long-term location in Fortitude Valley and the company is believed to be looking for new employees
In addition to Mercedes-Benz Brisbane, the striking glass-fronted building will offer unique dining and function options, including a creek-front promenade and a rooftop restaurant that will allow 180-degree views of Brisbane and its surroundings.
Adding to the lifestyle precinct offering will be experience centres from a range of luxury lifestyle brands, personal care and wellness facilities and a business centre.
While the facility will start operations in July, the many additional brands and experiences on offer will be introduced over the remainder of the year.
